An STC is an FAA approval that allows a modification to an already certificated aircraft, engine, or propeller. Avcon designs, manufactures, and certifies modifications under its own STCs, giving operators a fully documented, FAA-approved path to install special mission equipment.
Avcon holds Supplemental Type Certificates across Beechcraft, Bombardier, British Aerospace, Cessna, Dassault, Learjet, and Piper aircraft, with the deepest portfolio on the Beechcraft King Air family.
Timelines vary by modification complexity, from a few days for a simple sensor port installation to several weeks for a full mission system integration. Contact our sales team with your aircraft type and mission requirements for a project-specific estimate.
Yes. In addition to our catalog of existing STCs, Avcon's in-house design engineering and FAA DER team develop custom modifications and new STCs for mission requirements not covered by an existing certificate.
Avcon is a certified repair station with FAA, EASA, and Mexican DGAC approvals, and holds Parts Manufacturing Authority (PMA), allowing many of our modifications to be installed and supported internationally.
